Hilary Thomas is a Senior Associate at Heidrick & Struggles, a global executive search firm, where she supports the firm’s Global Industrial, the CEO and Board practices. Across these practices, she focuses on C-level searches within Alternative and Renewable Energy and Energy Transition businesses. Prior to joining Heidrick in 2021, Hilary served for 8 years as a combat engineering officer in the US Army. During her service, she served in leadership roles in combat units across the United States and deployed to Iraq during the Battle of Mosul as an Aide-de-Camp to a one-star general.
Hilary is the third woman in the US military to complete two of the Army’s most rigorous combat leadership courses, the Sapper Leader Course and US Army Ranger School, which opened to women in 2015. Hilary earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Behavioral Science from Columbus State University.
