Laurel Goodroe Steps In As IAH Business Director

LaurelGoodroeNews

It is Monday morning, and I hope everyone is enjoying a great start to a new week. For me it has been two weeks since I stepped into the role of Business Director for Impact a Hero.

Effective September 1, 2015, I assumed my new role succeeding Jeny Cortez managing the many worthwhile activities of Impact A Hero to grow this wonderful non-profit organization. Jeny leaves some big shoes to fill and I can’t thank her enough for all the amazing work and support she has provided to Impact A Hero over the past few years. I am especially thankful for her help in transitioning me into this new role.

I want to provide a little information to help you know me better. I have a BA in Communications and an MA in Advertising. For the past 8 years I’ve been working for non- profit trade associations where I managed membership, led the production of a bi-monthly magazine, coordinated events and managed over 100 virtual volunteers across the US. I’ve been involved with Impact A Hero in various capacities for a little over 4 years through my husband, Jack, who is also a wounded Hero.

I am very excited for this opportunity to work for Impact a Hero and look forward to helping it grow and serving our wounded Heroes and their families.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me or just say hello!

Thanks,
Laurel Goodroe
