Ft. Bend Magazine – NOV Clay Shoot Tournament
National Oilwell Varco (NOV) hosts Clay Tournament benefiting Impact a Hero and raises over $20,000
National Oilwell Varco (NOV) hosted a sporting clay fall event where 100% of the proceeds went towards helping our wounded veterans and their families. Over 10 veterans participated in the event which raised over $21,000 to support wounded veteran heroes.
Impact A Hero, a non-profit organization that provides immediate and ongoing support for our severely-wounded post-9/11 combat veterans and their families have formed a partnership with NOV, a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and sale of equipment and components used in oil & gas drilling and production, to support wounded veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan.
NOV has been a supporter of Impact a Hero over the last 4 years, and plans to host this annual clay tournament due to the success of this inaugural tournament.
“Our wounded heroes wear their patriotism 24/7 the rest of their lives through their sacrifices for our country. Our personal challenge is to wear our patriotism daily to support our troops. Impact A Hero is proud to announce that NOV has accepted that patriotic challenge to stand in the gap with our heroes,” said Jim Hoelker, Chairman of the Board for Impact A Hero.
