Matt Rios takes on the Brazos Bend 100k

Support Matt Rios as he takes on the Brazos Bend 100k trail run at Brazos Bend State Park on January 6th, 2024.

Matt is running to benefit impact a hero a non-profit 501c(3) organization whos mission is to make a positive impact in the lives of veterans, active service members and their families through advancing leadership and personal development, strengthening community and encouraging esprit de corps.

Matt served 4 years in the Army as an Infantryman and Scout, and continues to serve by supporting fellow men and women fighting to protect our freedom, as well as honor his fallen comrades.

Matt has supported Impact a Hero since 2005, beginning as a 5K Run participant. Since then, he has donated 4 paintings for the silent auction during the annual Impact a Hero Gala. Matt has coordinated fire trucks at the 5K Race, been ground control for the Coast Guard, and volunteers in other capacities throughout the year.

Through his donations and runs, Matt has raised over $30,000 for IAH.

Matt will have trained over 2,000 miles to prepare for this 100k run. As he trains, he’s thankful for his freedom, and the ability to run while he honors those who are confined due to their injuries.

HOW CAN YOU HELP? Become a supporter and encourage Matt as he prepares for the 100k run.

The event is finished.
