Election of New Chairman and Board Member

HOUSTON, TX, – January 20, 2020 – Impact a Hero (IAH), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to assisting wounded and disabled combat veterans, has announced the election of Scott Livingston as Chairman and Michael Acuff as a new board member, effective January 1, 2020. Scott has filled the chairman role vacated by Doug Hall, who has finished his three-year term on the board. Michael is replacing the open seat left by Bill Norwood, who also completed his three-year term.

 

“After serving as Vice Chair, I am honored to have been elected as the new Chairman and to lead such a meaningful and effective organization,” said Scott Livingston. “We are very fortunate to be adding Michael to the Board and we are confident he will provide valuable perspectives as we continue the rewarding work of serving the veterans in our community.”

 

Michael Acuff is currently the Senior Vice President, Commercial, for Pacific Drilling and has been in the Oil and Gas industry for over 20 years.  He has previously served as a private equity Advisory Board Member for Global Subsea Solutions. Michael is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Civil Engineering and received his MBA from Rice University.  He spent four years on active duty as an Army Air Defense Artillery Officer.  Michael resides in The Woodlands with his wife Charlotte and their sons Abb and Owen.
