We give remembrance to Shirley Houston Reagor, October 20, 1920 - March 31, 2024. She lived to be 103 years of age. During World War II she served as a Rosie the Riveter Gal (Timken Roller Bearing Factory in Canton, Ohio), and as a U.S. Coast Guard SPAR, she served along the Florida Atlantic Coast in logistics and supply. She once took inventory of a captured Italian submarine and the oral history is registered in the New Orleans WWII Museum. She was the fourth member of seven children who served in the war. Mrs. Reagor received numerous honors and recognitions for her military service. Impact A Hero was honored to have her as our guest during the 2023 Legacy of Freedom Gala. She enjoyed meeting the many veterans and active service members in attendance.
